A little about me, Sara, and Folklore Photography:
So why Folklore?
After graduating from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee with my bachelor’s degree in Art History, I spent some time working at the Milwaukee Natural History Museum. There I became obsessed with how art and artifacts reflect traditions, conjure a narrative of life, and become the foundation for the Folklore that society hands down through generations.
I like to think of photography as a visual text, a document captured with the camera. A record of who we are in that moment and maybe a glimpse of what's to come. Photography as a way to create a story. Your story. Your Folklore.
